Welcome to Feel Good Yoga with Karen

I have been practising yoga for more than twenty years and continue to be in awe of its power to transform me for the better - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. In fact, the word yoga is a Sanskrit word which means union of mind, body and soul.  It is a holistic science, a way of life, which includes physical postures - asanas, breath control exercises - pranayama, and meditation.  At its heart is a philosophy of loving kindness and compassion.

According  to yogic philosophy, repressed emotions and stress manifest in the physical  body.  As we twist, bend, invert, and stretch our bodies doing yoga asanas, we release energy blockages and balance the left and right side of our bodies. Certain asanas may trigger an emotion that you might not expect.  It is not unusual to shed a quiet tear in a yoga class.  So allow your yoga mat to become your magic carpet as you go on a wonderful journey of self-discovery. 

People  are attracted to yoga for a variety of reasons. Some people come to yoga class  to release stress and relax; some want to tone the body and make it more youthful; others aim to alleviate ailments, such as backache, arthritis and  migraine; a portion seek to improve their sexual relationships; and some wish to  use the principles of yoga philosophy to enrich their spiritual life. For whatever reason you are drawn to yoga, you will enjoy all its  benefits.


I invite you come to my Feel Good Yoga class in Narangba, just north of Brisbane.  Remember yoga is non-competitive and for all ages and abilities – yoga is for everyone.
